SUMMARY: Assist the Supervisor in the Transportation Department in accordance with policies and procedures. Transportation Department encompasses, but is not limited to demand, standing order and urgent care trip routing, dispatching and monitoring; QRV routing, dispatching and monitoring; provider, member and facility communications. Ensure smooth operation during shift. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitor the operation in accordance with policies and procedures. Train and coach team members in conjunction with the supervisor. Responsible for shift schedule to include, work station assignments/rotations with the supervisor. Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers with the supervisor. Responsible to meet shift goals. Responsible for ensuring quality service is provided to members, internal and external customers. Make adjustments as necessary during a shift to maintain compliance within specifications. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs). Communicate with Supervisor. Ensure a clean and safe work environment. Complete shift paperwork. Assist in the assigned department as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Place orders in the computer system. Answer phones for Medicaid eligible requests for non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and dispatch estimated time of arrivals. Complete call logs and reports. Provide information for providers, along with projected service times. Responsible for ensuring trips are assigned cost effectively.
