This position is responsible for supervising designated drivers, ensuring all required training is completed, and identifying additional training needs. The role involves facilitating training for new and existing staff, conducting reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, and overseeing daily work assignments to maintain excellent customer service. The supervisor will also ensure compliance with DOT rules, coordinate with other supervisors or account executives to resolve service issues, manage driver scheduling and backup, and coordinate equipment repairs. A key aspect of the role is ensuring safety and compliance for assigned drivers, including proper unit operation, equipment utilization, hours of service, and route integrity. The supervisor assists in accident investigations, maintains performance reports, advises management on performance issues, provides daily coaching and counseling, and drives continuous process improvement. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
