About The Position

Overall Responsibilities: The transportation specialist is to schedule and provide local transportation on a scheduled basis for residents of the community. When not transporting, will complete scheduled tasks as outlined by Administrator. Job Responsibilities: Scheduling appointments. Driving residents to and from appointments and providing needed assistance to and from vehicle and buildings. Running errands for community staff as approved by supervisor. Responsible to keep inside and outside of vehicles clean at all times. Responsible to maintaining and checking vehicle fluid levels. Record and complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks for Administrator Maintain a good working relationship with all customers; including residents, family members, community, and vendors. Will not participate in gossip of any kind. Will conduct self professionally. Meet or exceed, the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel And all other duties required by Administration. Job Qualifications: Must hold a valid driver's license Must be in good health and properly immunized against infectious diseases, including measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus and diphtheria. Must provide written proof of recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of date of hire. Must be positive and encouraging and have the ability to motivate residents to participate in activities. Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates. Willingness to work with the elderly Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and displays willingness to assist co-workers Universal Precautions: Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely. Physical Requirements: Has ability to do occasional heavy lifting of (up to 40 lbs.). I have read the Transportation Specialist job description. Requirements
