Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Transportation Planner to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Mavern, AR. As a Transportation Planner, you will plan the freight for the company while also balancing customer service requirements, ensuring carrier compliance, and maintaining cost effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen! Performs initial load planning and routing for all outbound transport orders at assigned facilities; reschedules and adapts load profiles as necessary. Coordinates with customers, sales, warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure most cost effective routing and carrier assignments. Examine truckload combinations to maximize full cube utilization, ensure most effective routing, and prevent transport of duplicate orders. Actively work to improve freight costs, provide timely tender of transport orders to carriers and manage carrier response to transportation requests. Resolve problems associated with product distribution between customers, customer service and carriers. Monitor freight payment service for assessorial charges and proper billing. Work with procurement on scheduling inbound truckloads to control costs and utilize core carrier equipment and capacity. Work with Supply Chain when planning promotions to determine cost effective shipping org. Supply quotes for CVTK pickup allowance customer requests and specialty group pre-pay and add shipments. Supervisory responsibilities for Receiving Utilities (6 People). System Development around scrap materials receiving. You will love it here if… You put safety first, always. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree Logistics or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing or distribution operations in a multi facility environment.
