And we know that mission starts with our people. Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Transportation Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Operations-Transportation, this role is responsible for planning specific locations and accountability for identified projects or analyses. Approximately 75% of the day-to-day function will be transportation operations focused, through managing the carriers and warehouses within our network. This would include interacting with the warehouse/manufacturing facilities and supporting carrier base. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maximizing the efficiency of carrier’s service through the use of a transportation management system (TMS). The Planner will be responsible for the management of relationships with the current carrier base to meet customer service demands. This individual will also look for and analyze new opportunities that will enhance the logistics network. Approximately 25% of the role will include Project or Analytical work. These projects will be current needs and identified at the time of the position. The candidate will learn both Transportation operations and analytics and have opportunities to deliver real results to the organization, while gaining valuable industry experience. This is a remote opportunity with travel as needed. Candidates living in EST/CST preferred.
