About The Position

Southwick, MA - part-time, personal care, transportation, male caregiver, 2x/week Can be combined with other clients to achieve desired number of hours. Mr. S in Southwick is looking for a male caregiver to provide help with personal care and transportation to appointments. A male applicant with transportation is a must! He's looking for 2 days per week of services, specific dates and times to be determined. Join our award winning team of senior home care professionals in the greater Springfield area. Our elderly clients need help around their homes with personal care, palliative care, respite care, meal preparation and feeding, mobility assistance and transfers, light housekeeping duties, transportation to and from appointments, and companionship. Requirements

1+ years of experience in direct care
Punctuality, reliability, compassion, patience, empathy
Strong ability to read, write, understand, and speak English so as to: Read ADL's Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff
Vehicle or transportation
Ability to add Business Class 30 to car insurance (reimbursed up to $50)
Valid MA Driver's License
Pass a background check
At least 2 professional references (not friends)
Be willing to accept at least 1 e/o weekend shift

Nice To Haves

HHA or CNA certification (not required, we work with applicants to get HCA certified)

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
(For some clients) Provide transportation for clients to and from appointments, errands, etc.
