About The Position
The Personal Care Assistant is primarily responsible for observing patients and providing assistance in personal care.
Requirements
- Successful completion of all State, Federal, ARH, or accreditation mandated training programs as they become available.
- Two (2) weeks to one (1) month on-the-job training is required to attain proficiency of performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Observes assigned patient(s); serves in the capacity of a sitter for assigned patient(s) during specific shift.
- Assists with basic personal care services as appropriate and as assigned.
- Assists assigned patient(s) in toileting.
- Observes for and reports safety hazards, and prepares incident reports.
- Participates in team conferences, in-service education programs, and staff meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
