About The Position

McKee Foods is looking for an Office Support Team Member to join our Central Region Transportation team. In this role, you will provide key administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations, focusing on driver support, regulatory compliance documentation, and financial processing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. This position is perfect for a self-motivated individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and work independently to meet team needs.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a high-volume administrative role.
  • Previous experience in: Building PowerPoint, Google Slide, etc. presentations

  • Working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar dispatch software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
  • Provide outstanding customer support to drivers and internal stakeholders (Dispatch, Operations, Field, etc.) by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing office files.
  • Process purchase orders and manage vendor invoices.
  • Assist with employee reimbursements and expense report submissions (e.g., Per Diem).
  • Maintain team supplies and order office necessities.
  • Develop and build professional presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slide, etc.) for internal leadership meetings and driver communications.
  • Coordinate department events and team activities (e.g., Driver Appreciation Week).
  • Run team reports as needed
  • Handle departmental announcements and communications drafted by the leadership team
  • Run complex managerial reports (e.g., KPI summaries, fueling usage, budget updates) as required for leadership review.
  • Attend staff and leadership meetings to take detailed notes, track action items, and prepare comprehensive updates.
