About The Position

Maytronics, the leading innovator in automatic pool robotics and parent company to the Dolphin brand, is in search of a Transportation Manager based in our North America headquarters in Duluth, GA. We’ve grown at an exciting pace and are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team. The perfect candidate is a rock star Transportation Manager that happens to be a dynamic change agent. If you have a history of reducing costs while simultaneously improving service levels, let’s talk! This is a Critical role in the organization. You will be responsible for the entire Maytronics North America transportation operations for both the distribution and ecommerce segments of the business. You will serve as a key advisor to the entire executive team. As such, you will have routine interaction with and perform briefings for senior executives including the C-suite. Additionally, you will build and maintain a strong partnership with key leaders in our Israeli based parent company.

Requirements

  • Documented expertise in Import, Export operations including expertise with Incoterms
  • 49 CFR, IATA knowledge
  • Strong analytical, verbal and writing skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Transportation, logistics, or MBA strongly preferred)
  • 7+ years of Transportation Program Management Experience (mix of ecommerce and distribution preferred)
  • Experience with the development of forecasts/budgets, and running operations against a forecast/budget
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Functional experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Self-motivated, works well with little daily oversight
  • Ability Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a short-, medium- and long-term transportation strategy that results in documented service and cost improvements
  • Build and monitor and report progress on annual transportation budget and update forecasts.
  • Track and publish monthly updates for matters impacting the cost of transportation.
  • Maintain and publish routine inbound container schedules and progress
  • Ensure company adherence to transportation regulations (DOT) and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the company Subject Matter Expert regarding Import and export operations ensuring compliance with current requirements while minimizing tariff exposure where possible.
  • Train warehouse teams, and monitor compliance with national and international dangerous goods shipping
  • Develop, track and report transportation related KPI’s for the organization
  • Continuous carrier relationship management and rate negotiations for parcel, FTL, LTL loads
  • Monitor Mass retail OTIF, and other portal requirements and take proactive steps to prevent fines
  • Manage carrier claim processing
  • Validate TMS systems weekly to ensure most current negotiated rates are in place
  • Routine review of HTC codes to ensure DOT compliance
  • Additional cross functional projects and responsibilities as assigned based on company needs
