About The Position

Tessera is seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Manager (TM) with strong leadership and organizational skills. The TM will oversee all aspects of transportation operations, fleet management, and maintenance services in support of a critical government contract. Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Non-Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE), the TM will ensure quality assurance, compliance, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will drive efficient scheduling, planning, and administration of a high-volume workload while maintaining the readiness and mission effectiveness of the client’s transportation assets. Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team’s success are dependent on the leadership team’s position efforts. Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
  • 5-8 years' experience in Transportation/Fleet Operations
  • Training from Facility and Reliability Organizations such as IFMA, AFE, BOMA, SMRP, or Reliability web.
  • Related certifications such as Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Per our government contract, 2.7.2.6, “No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.”

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary lead for controlling and scheduling all transportation operations, maintenance activities, and associated work, ensuring alignment with project scope, complexity, and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
  • Direct and oversee comprehensive scheduling, planning, and administration of a high-volume, complex body of transportation-related work.
  • Ensure all mechanics, operators, and laborers possess and maintain current, valid qualifications, certifications, and licenses essential for their respective duties and for operating and completing corrective maintenance or repairs.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for robust oversight of quality assurance across all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Provide expert review and approval for Contractor plans, procedures, and funding processes specifically related to the operation and maintenance of Non-Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE).
  • Operate independently as a critical key personnel member for the contract, ensuring there is no conflict of interest by not concurrently holding any other key personnel or position
  • Evaluate, review, and approve related scopes of work (SOWs) and cost proposals submitted to the Government.
