This is a seasonal position that works nights. This position is based in the Transportation Management Center. This work consists of detecting unplanned incidents and being aware of planned incidents on the transportation network for the purpose of communicating this information for incident management and informing the public's safety and mobility decisions. Responsibilities include accurately communicating emergency and nonemergency information to public agencies, Maine DOT field personnel, and the public; dispatching the appropriate units when weather, safety, and traffic events occur; and determining traffic obstacles and necessary emergency responders. Work is performed under general supervision.
