About The Position

Ensure all food is ordered and food inventory is monitored. Coordinate all external appointments for up to 35 program participants and provide transportation for clients to appointments and/or meetings. Why Work for SMOC? Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Understand the disease concept of addiction and knowledge of the 12-step program.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance standard.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations

Responsibilities

  • Purchase food and food supplies and monitor inventory for all 4 residential programs.
  • Work with staff to provide guidance and ensure optimal delivery of services surrounding education of fool, including meal planning and development of shopping list.
  • Support program staff with development of curriculum around preparation and daily meals.
  • Oversee food storage areas for all 4 residential programs.
  • Provide inventory control and assure operations confirm to budgetary expectation.
  • Maintain proper records as assigned by Program Director.

  • Provide monthly reporting to Food Bank and all other food services z it applies to each individual program.
  • Attend all certification trainings for DPH, OSHA and SAFESERV regarding food service.
  • Provide timely data on maintenance requirements of kitchen equipment.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with vendors and local organizations that support SMOC’s food needs.
  • Maintain safe sanitary conditions in the kitchen in compliance with city and state health codes
  • Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.
  • Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
