In the Receiving Unit at the Office of Materials and Research (OMR), processes highway construction materials samples submitted to OMR for testing. includes verifying correct sample information, logging accepted samples, and ensuring proper storage for samples. Utilizes software such as excel, AASHTOware, and ProjectWise. Assists field personnel with proper sample information entry and identification. Assists with uploading final reports and failing sample notifications. Receives incoming supplies from the Supply Depot and other vendors. Assists with distribution of AASHTO proficiency samples to appropriate OMR lab units. Assists with the administration, tracking, and reporting of work orders for outsourced testing. Coordinates with field and OMR personnel to manage pending Change Order samples. Assists lab units with test reporting as needed. Assists with the proper handling and retention of test reports. Trains to assist in the training of inspectors and technicians in the use of the materials portion of AASHTOware software. Performs other related duties as assigned.
