As an Engineering Intern in our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) group, you'll gain hands-on experience on meaningful transportation and infrastructure projects while working alongside industry-leading professionals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degree.

Nice To Haves

• Strong interest in transportation and construction engineering.
• Ability to work outdoors and adapt to field conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with CAD or inspection software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support construction inspection for roadway, bridge, and utility projects.
• Perform field measurements, material sampling, and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Assist engineers with plan reviews, contractor submittals, and project documentation.
• Learn CDM Smith's standards and best practices for quality assurance and project delivery.
