About The Position
An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Transportation Engineer for their Columbus team!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of experience
- PE License in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months
- Experience using AASHTO, ODOT Design Criteria, and FDOT Design Criteria
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation, and Geopak
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Open Roads preferred
Responsibilities
- Design/develop various types of roadway/highway improvement projects
- Develop horizontal/vertical roadway/highway alignments, design modeling, and engineering calculations
- Perform all aspects of roadway/highway design (drainage design, maintenance of traffic, pavement marking/striping and signing)
- Prepare preliminary/detailed design plans, quantities, specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Use technical expertise for the development, evaluation, selection, and modification of standards engineering techniques/procedures
- Occasional client and sub-consultant communication
- Site visits periodically
- Assist with Request for Information during construction phase
