About The Position
Leading U.S. engineering consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer for their Chicago office!
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+years of practical design experience (transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design)
- IL PE License
- Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design/standards
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads required.
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of modeling with OpenRoads preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred
Responsibilities
- Involvement in design process/project advancement (setting priorities/developing objectives)
- Use technical expertise to aid multi-discipline team
- Prepare highway/roadway and sewer plans, specifications, and estimates
- Responsible for project permitting
- Prepare project reports
- Mentor/train junior engineers
