About The Position
Regional consulting firm looking to add a talented Transportation Engineer to their Chicago, Illinois area office!
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience
- PE License
- Experience working in IDOT project development process, construction documentation and administration
- Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Lead/manage technical design of various projects including urban/rural roadways, multi-use paths, park designs/developments
- Perform Office Manager duties for office including personnel/job assignments
- Responsible for client management and overall project performance metrics
- Review design plans for compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- Work with project manager to establish project scope, budget, timelines and designs
- Communicate/meet with municipal clients, including cities, utility companies and state agencies
- Mentor/train junior staff
