By joining the Division of Highway Design, Drainage Branch, as a Transportation Engineer Specialist in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the quality and safety of KYTC’s transportation network, lead initiatives that improve drainage systems across the state, mentor and develop the next generation of engineers, influence branch procedures, and help ensure communities are protected through resilient, well-designed projects. Requirements

Must have four years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a Professional Engineer.
Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six month probationary period.
Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained.
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
