About The Position

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a transportation engineer in our Milwaukee, Janesville, or Waterford, WI offices. This position will primarily consist of design engineering efforts on a variety of transportation projects for State, County, and Local Agencies. A knowledge of designing roadway, drainage, and underground improvements with Civil 3D is preferred. This team-orientated position will include working with Baxter & Woodman's diverse disciplines and offices.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 2 years of relevant job experience working on municipal or highway agency transportation projects.
  • Work within a team-first culture that encourages individual development and aplishment of goals.
  • Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation).
  • Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong written, verbal,puter andanizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification strongly preferred, but not required.
  • P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design Roadway, Drainage, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements using Civil 3D.
  • Conduct drainage, traffic, and various engineering studies.
  • Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
  • Complete engineering plans and specifications using DOT Standards.
  • Assist senior staff with client management, project pursuits, and business development.
  • Assist project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery.
