As a valued member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing CDM Smith's mission by: Leveraging your technical skills to contribute to the design of hydraulic systems for a spectrum of transportation projects, spanning from bustling urban thoroughfares to tranquil rural roads. Playing an integral role in amplifying our department's reach through active involvement in marketing endeavors and project pursuits. Working under the guidance of seasoned Project Managers, leading task teams in the design of roadway hydraulic components within expansive roadway projects. Exercising autonomy in handling intricate technical challenges. Nurturing and guiding junior colleagues, serving as a beacon of knowledge and expertise. Steering the efforts of engineers and technicians to ensure project success. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer).
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

  • PE.
  • Experience working on NCDOT projects.
