The Transportation Driver is a personal care team member responsible for assuring that community-sponsored scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely, with elder safety and security as the primary priority.

Requirements

• Bring proof of personal automobile insurance.
• Be eligible to drive and pass an MVR records check.
• Be capable of maintaining regular, reliable attendance.
• Communicate with elders, families, team members, vendors, and the public.
• Meet all health requirements, including TB, if applicable.
• Be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Bring compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to elders, families, and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take the initiative to prioritize elder safety and satisfaction.
• Using the community-owned vehicle, transport elders to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping errands, and off-site events.
• Complete routine periodic vehicle inspection checks.
