Responsibilities

  • Routing & Logistics
  • Strategic Planning: Design and adjust school bus routes to prioritize student safety and time efficiency.
  • Specialized Transport: Serve as a liaison for special education transportation needs, ensuring all students receive required accommodations.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign drivers and vehicles to daily routes and extracurricular field trips, ensuring 100% schedule adherence.
  • Communication & Leadership
  • Community Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between parents, school administrators, and the transportation department to resolve inquiries and concerns.
  • Operational Oversight: Open the dispatch office, manage daily driver attendance, and provide leadership in the absence of the Director.
  • Conflict Resolution: Handle complaints, service interruptions, and accidents with professional composure and a focus on prompt resolution.
  • Administration & Safety
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate student transport records and utilize routing software to track performance.
  • Driver Support: Assist with driver training programs and monitor equipment needs to ensure fleet safety standards are met.
  • Adaptability: Maintain a positive attitude and remain flexible as district needs, schedules, and safety regulations evolve.
