HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Assists the paramedic and EMS team in the delivery of safe patient care. Assists in the coordination of safe patient care between departments. Provides basic life support, emergency care, and transportation to the sick and/or injured as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum: Licensed Florida Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Must possess a State of Florida Class “E” Driver’s License.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • HAZ-MAT Awareness.
  • Completion of 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC).
  • Must meet all current, applicable requirements of Chapter 401, Florida Statutes and Chapter 64 J-1 Florida Administrative Code for Emergency Medical Technicians.
  • All Certifications and Licenses are required at the time of hire.
  • All Certificates and Licenses must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
  • Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license.
  • Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience.
  • Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.
  • Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
  • All employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, background check, reference verification, health assessment, and credential/license verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months experience as an Emergency Care Technician.
