About The Position

Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel. Provides patient transport to and from and/or between nursing units and ancillary departments. Provides support to the clinical staff by maintaining linens, wheelchair access, and performs light housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current CPR Certification Required.
  • At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to perform effectively in emergency and stressful situations.
  • Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, physicians, supervisors, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
  • Ability to communicate in English with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal relation skills when working with a variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adjust to continuing changes in the daily work schedule.
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Willingness to work with clinical personnel and other team members to foster a productive work environment.
  • Must be able to display positive attitude, cheerfulness, and the willingness to assist when communicating with the public.
