About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake Heart Institute Transplant team has an outstanding opportunity for a Transplant Quality Coordinator. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: UW Medicine's Heart Institute is one of only eight elite facilities in the nation to achieve the highest possible score from the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time, 40 hours/weekly, 1 year duration M - F, Days POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Conveniently located near public transportation Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate, run agenda, take minutes, and follow up on corrective action items for monthly transplant QAPI meetings Ensure documentation of QAPI discussions, M&M discussions, and Corrective Action Plans in XynQAPI Monitor and follow up on corrective action plans for event reviews Work closely with the Transplant Data Specialist for QAPI dashboard management Follow up on the Transplant Institute’s UNOS and CMS tasks Stay current with UNOS and CMS regulatory requirements and assist the quality manager with policy implementation efforts Identify opportunities for improvements in current workflows Work closely with the RN coordinators and program coordinators to implement QI initiatives Coordinate EPIC Phoenix optimization efforts for the team Interface with the UW Medicine quality team, regulatory affairs team, medical record systems teams, IT Services staff, and the electronic data warehouse team on improvement initiatives Participate in all aspects of improving the UWMC Transplant Program and Transplant Quality team, including education/training of other team members and contributing to process/communication improvement initiatives Work with the quality manager to set professional goals for career development REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree At least 1 year of experience in project coordination or process improvement in healthcare related field Certification in project management or process improvement Lean Six Sigma preferred Transplant experience preferred ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE: UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
