The Transplant Financial Administrator supports transplant program revenue capture performance through abstraction, review, and reporting of costs surrounding pre and post-transplant patients. Will provide abstraction and analysis of clinical medical record documentation to support appropriate allocation of costs to the Medicare Cost Report (MCR) and work with MCR team. Will work collaboratively with Finance and manage workques created to assist with identification of MCR charges. Is involved in reviews by coding team that support appropriate DRG coding for transplantation patients. Will manage time study collection process ensuring all applicable time studies are collected. The Transplant Financial Administrator (TFA) supports transplant program revenue through data analysis, review and reporting of costs surrounding pre and post-transplant patients. Provides data analysis of clinical medical record documentation of all new solid organ transplant and potential transplant patients to support appropriate allocation of costs to the Medicare Cost Report (MCR). Collects, reviews and tracks organ acquisition invoices from Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO), transportation vendors, laboratory services, and other miscellaneous service providers prior to submitting to Trinity for payment processing. Reviews all organ transplant inpatient and outpatient accounts at the request of the Patient Financial Services and Revenue Integrity team.
