Summary: The Transplant Coordinator is a registered professional nurse demonstrating clinical competence. He/she is responsible for the evaluation and coordination of all aspects of renal and pancreas transplants. The Transplant Coordinator provides patient and community education, patient assessment, as well as working with medical staff, outside physicians, and organ procurement organizations. Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 8:00am to 4:30pm plus on call at a minimum of one week per month

Requirements

  • New Jersey RN licensure
  • CPR for Health Care Providers
  • Successfully completes initial competency verification for clinical area
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to perform diversified duties with time limitations with high degree of accuracy
  • Prior transplant experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking, and priority setting skills
