Do you have experience designing high voltage power lines (69kV to 765kV) using industry-leading software and can clearly communicate your engineering concepts to stakeholders? Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
  • Eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.
  • Driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering from an accredited University, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line or structural design.
  • Dedication to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as the NESC, ASCE, ACI, and IEEE.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey engineering designs, standards, and processes to other engineers and collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Design structures and foundations, including the creation of structure loading trees.
  • Prepare Construction Documents as the Engineer of Record.
  • Craft and analyze high voltage transmission lines (69kV - 765kV) using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
  • Perform field assessments and inspections to determine project requirements and ensure quality standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.
