We are looking for a Transmission Line Engineer to design and analyze transmission systems, contributing to improved quality of life across Texas. You’ll join our world-class organization that values ambition, excellence, and collaborative success.
Are you knowledgeable in line design principles and ready to support and mentor engineers, construction crews, and customers? Do you have experience designing high voltage power lines (69kV to 765kV) using industry-leading software and can clearly communicate your engineering concepts to stakeholders? Requirements

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• Eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.
• Driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering from an accredited University, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line or structural design.
• Dedication to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as the NESC, ASCE, ACI, and IEEE.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey engineering designs, standards, and processes to other engineers and collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Design structures and foundations, including the creation of structure loading trees.
• Prepare Construction Documents as the Engineer of Record.
• Craft and analyze high voltage transmission lines (69kV - 765kV) using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
• Perform field assessments and inspections to determine project requirements and ensure quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.
