About The Position

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has been serving Texans since 1934, when the state Legislature tasked us with improving life across the region. Back then, we built the chain of dams that tamed the unpredictable lower Colorado River and brought electricity to rural Central Texas for the very first time. Fast forward to today, and that mission still fuels everything we do. For nearly a century, we’ve been finding new ways to enhance the lives of the Texans we serve. Now we’re looking for the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers to help us write our next chapter. The Transmission Line Engineering Internship is an advanced-level intern role designed for students who have completed significant coursework in their engineering discipline. This position provides hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects, contributing to design, analysis, testing, and process improvement under the guidance of experienced engineers. Interns at this level are expected to work with increasing independence and technical proficiency. Ready to make your impact? Apply now and start your journey with the Lower Colorado River Authority!
