About The Position
We are partnering with a growing engineering firm seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to lead high-voltage power delivery projects. This role focuses on transmission line design, technical leadership, and supporting grid modernization and renewable energy interconnections.
Requirements
- BS in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (ABET)
- 5â7 years of transmission line / power delivery experience
- PE required, or EIT in progress to getting PE.
- Strong knowledge of NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards
- High-voltage transmission line design (69kV and above)
- Structures, foundations, grounding, shielding, sag & tension
- Cost estimates and construction-ready design packages
- Tools: PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, MFAD
Responsibilities
- Lead transmission line engineering and design for 69kV+ projects
- Provide technical oversight and serve as a discipline lead
- Review drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Support construction activities and resolve field issues
- Mentor junior engineers (technical guidance only)
