As a Transmission Design Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to design and execute planned capital transmission improvements for Portland General Electric. You will apply your engineering expertise to develop designs for overhead and underground distribution and transmission line projects ranging from 12.5 kV to 500 kV, contributing to PGE's mission of providing clean, reliable energy. A successful candidate will plan and implement the design, procurement, construction and/or maintenance of electric transmission and distribution lines, including conductor systems, hardware, structures and foundations, for the transmission and distribution of electric power. You will also provide transmission and distribution project management expertise resulting in cost effective, reliable and workable construction designs and customer connections as well as provide technical engineering support for transmission and distribution construction and maintenance projects. In this role you will develop designs for new overhead transmission facilities as well as upgrades and maintenance of existing facilities and provide technical support to construction crews in the field. This role offers exciting challenges in shaping the future of Oregon's energy infrastructure, allowing you to work supporting the design of transmission projects while making a tangible impact on the region's power network. This position is open to both a p2 level or a Senior p3 level.
