About The Position
Overview We are seeking a Transition to Practice RN Educator , RN Clinical Educator, or Nurse Educator. The Transition to Practice Educator provides continued educational support, training and mentoring to new nurses in the clinical area. Requirements
- Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
- Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 2 years acute care experience.
- Minimum of 1 year preceptor experience.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring a smooth transition to practice by providing unit-based support, coordinating the needs and resources for each new nurse by follow up during and after the orientation period.
- Will serve as a clinical liaison between education and clinical managers/coordinators to facilitate a timely release from orientation by assessing needs and performance in live time.
- Once needs are identified, targeted knowledge and skill deficits can be addressed through the coordination of available resources.
- Addressing the specific needs of each new nurse will ensure their role development success as well as enhance patient outcomes.
