The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a member of our Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG) Team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: You will be placed in one of these areas: Our Sales areas focus on driving business growth and enhancing sales performance. The Sales Enablement Specialist enhances the productivity and effectiveness of the sales team by providing essential tools, resources, and training, collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and training departments. Meanwhile, the Inside and Field Sales Specialist combines inside and field sales responsibilities to strengthen customer relationships and contribute to business growth. Our Marketing area at 3M is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of product lines, customer segments, and competitive landscapes. This position offers initial and ongoing training opportunities, including exposure to senior leadership, and involves working on projects that address real challenges faced by 3M’s business units.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing, or have completed, a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Current, valid Driver’s License (required for Field Sales positions, as you will be issued a company vehicle for Field Sales positions.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities

  • Training and Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to equip the sales team with the necessary skills and knowledge for success.
  • Content Creation: Develop and maintain standardized sales content, including presentations, proposals, and value proposition messaging, in collaboration with marketing and training departments.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and refine sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Sales Tools Management: Implement and manage sales tools and technologies to support the sales team in their daily activities and improve productivity.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Customer Engagement: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies, engage directly with customers to understand their needs, and conduct on-site visits to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Content Creation : Assisting in the development of engaging content for various marketing channels such as social media, blogs, email campaigns, and the company website.
  • Market Research : Conducting research to identify market trends, target audiences, and perform competitive analysis.
  • Campaign Support : Supporting the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns.
  • Social Media Management : Helping manage and grow the social media presence by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments.
  • Event Coordination : Assisting in organizing and promoting company events, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Digital Analysis : Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from digital marketing channels, maintaining dashboards and reports to track KPIs, and providing insights to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Analytics : Monitoring and reporting on marketing activity performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
  • Collaboration : Working closely with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive marketing strategies.
  • Administrative Tasks : Supporting the marketing department with tasks such as maintaining databases, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
