About The Position

AKAM is on the lookout for a Transitions Manager who loves bringing order to complexity and thrives on getting things off to a great start. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind onboarding new condominium and HOA communities by making sure every transition into AKAM is smooth, seamless, and stress-free. You’ll partner with boards, vendors, and internal teams to orchestrate each transition from kickoff to completion by handling financials, operations, compliance, and communication with confidence and care. If you’re a natural organizer, people-person, and problem solver who enjoys variety and momentum, this is a role where you’ll truly shine.

Requirements

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach—you spot issues before they become problems
  • Familiarity with property management operations, including HOA finances, contracts, and compliance
  • Comfort working with property management software and document systems
  • Knowledge of Florida HOA laws and governance preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Florida CAM license a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full onboarding process for condo and HOA communities from start to finish
  • Act as the main point of contact for HOA boards, outgoing management companies (when applicable), and AKAM’s internal teams
  • Coordinate timelines, workflows, and deliverables across operations, accounting, IT, and support
  • Create customized transition plans and checklists to ensure every detail is covered
  • Collect, review, and organize essential HOA records—governing documents, financials, contracts, insurance, and vendor info
  • Ensure all transitions meet Florida HOA legal and statutory requirements
  • Accurately transfer community data into AKAM’s systems and property management software
  • Help refine and standardize transition processes to make each one better than the last
  • Establish trust with HOA boards and residents
  • Lead welcome meetings and orientation sessions that set the tone for a successful partnership
  • Provide clear, consistent communication and updates throughout the transition process
  • Partner closely with accounting, operations, HR, legal, and leadership to ensure everyone is aligned and ready
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure uninterrupted service for the community
  • Track transition outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare reports and insights for leadership to help drive continuous improvement
