As a Transition Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of hotel acquisitions and transitions. You will work closely with our finance team and hotel management staff to ensure financial processes are seamless during the transition period. This role requires strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different hotel environments. Financial Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence for potential hotel acquisitions, including reviewing financial statements, budgets, and historical performance data mapping. Ensure completeness and accuracy of post transitional financial statements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models and budgets for acquired hotels, ensuring they align with company standards and goals. Transition Planning: Collaborate with the hotel management team to create a transition plan that outlines the financial processes and systems to be implemented during the transition period. Ensure prorations are properly books for all transitions out. Ensure post transition balance sheets are completed and collapsed timely. Ensure timely completion of TCC tasks for both transitions in and out Revenue and Expense Analysis: Analyze revenue and expense trends at acquired hotels to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue optimization. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into the financial performance of acquired properties. Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions and reporting comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations. System Integration: Assist in the integration of financial systems and processes for newly acquired hotels into the company's accounting software including loading data into our Oracle database. Will also work closely with our Data Analytics team to ensure validity of data. Training and Support: Provide training and support to hotel staff on financial processes and systems during the transition period. Establish relationships with DVPs/SVPs of Operations including them in all interactions and workflows as necessary to ensure financial results are accurately communicated. Audit Support: Assist with financial audits as necessary.
