About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Seasonal Night Shift Transit Driver in Traverse City, MI. This role involves transporting loaded and empty trailers, including singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit. The position offers daily home time and does not require touch freight. Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
