About The Position

Gordon Food Service is looking for a Seasonal Night Shift Transit Driver. This position involves transporting loaded and empty trailers, which can be singles or doubles, between GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point during night shifts. The role emphasizes daily home time and does not require touch freight. Requirements

At least 21 years of age
Class A CDL License at hire
Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
Doubles (T) endorsement required
Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
No Auto Restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
