About The Position

The Role: More Than Just a Drive At Omega Health Services, our Transit Drivers are often the first and last face our patients see. We are looking for a safety-focused professional who understands that they aren't just moving a vehicle—they are providing a lifeline. You will ensure our patients and staff arrive at their destinations safely, comfortably, and on time.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement (Required).
2+ years of professional driving experience (Experience in healthcare or paratransit is a major plus).
A clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and mandatory drug/alcohol screenings.
High familiarity with Chantilly and the surrounding Northern Virginia/DC Metro road networks.
A patient, calm demeanor when working with individuals who may be stressed or in pain.
You understand that "on time" for you means "on time" for a patient's critical appointment.

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles (primarily buses) with a "safety-first" mindset, whether on a fixed schedule or on-demand.
Provide "door-to-door" care by assisting passengers with mobility challenges, ensuring wheelchairs and assistive devices are secured with precision.
Conduct rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections.
Maintain digital or manual logs for mileage, fuel, and passenger transport with high accuracy.
Represent Omega Health Services on the road by practicing courteous driving and providing exceptional customer service.
