About The Position

To evaluate transfer credits and/or academic and vocational graduation requirements; provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students; perform related work. This position supports the Office of Admissions and International Programs. Responsible for evaluating international high school and postsecondary academic credentials and graduation requirements; analyzing admission files and making admission decisions that impact institutional compliance, enrollment, and student progression; communicating with faculty, staff, students, and parents; and performing other related work. This position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and International Services. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Requirements

  • Researching, interpreting and applying university policies and procedures relating to transfer credits or graduation requirements
  • Interpreting, applying and explaining university academic and vocational program requirements.
  • Computing grade point averages.
  • Compiling data and preparing reports.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary evaluator for 100% of international undergraduate applications, including first-year and transfer populations.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of international undergraduate applications, including initial file review and clean-up, verification of citizenship and immigration-related documentation, review of foreign academic records, correction of issues within Banner ERP and Recruit CRM, and processing of admission decisions.
  • Review foreign high school and college transcripts to determine authenticity and official status, interpret international grading systems and academic credentials, apply appropriate grading conversion scales, and assess whether applicants meet institutional admission requirements.
  • Determine residency classification in accordance with institutional policy and state regulations, including review of supporting documentation and resolution of complex or non-routine cases.
  • Analyze domestic and international academic records to determine transferable credit, calculate estimated GPAs using approved grading conversion methodologies, and verify compliance with institutional admission standards.
  • Effectively communicate admission decisions, requirements, and processes to international students, parents, faculty, and staff, including explanation of academic credential evaluations and admission outcomes.
  • Review and evaluate requests for waiver or adjustment of academic requirements, including analysis of international academic systems and prior educational pathways.
  • Notify students of missing or incomplete information and request required documents.
  • Make admissions decisions and notify students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
