About The Position

Lead the execution of the training system. Improve and execute ongoing and annual training initiatives. Lead onboarding, skill development and enhancement to temporary and full-time Value Stream employees. Partner to provide inclusive training methods and learner material which transcend language and ensures a positive employee experience. Collaborate cross-functionally with the team to build a stable and engaged workforce. Continuously improve the training and employee experience by creating enhancements to the training system, procedures, and documentation. Model the Andersen Values.

Requirements

  • Meet all Training Team Lead I requirements
  • Demonstrate leadership in the areas of interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, process constraints, and problem solving
  • Experience creating and maintaining documents used for training; with the ability to distill complex and technical processes and terms to be accessible to the learner
  • Demonstrate focus on improving the training experience and business through AMS tools, CI systems and tiered management structure as well as PDCA methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees in the onboarding & skill development process
  • Completion of certified Tell Show Do Review Trainer status and ability to train other trainers in the use of a consistent training methodology
  • Completion of area specific certifications with ability to certify others
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support a continuous improvement culture, implement new ideas and improve training outcomes
  • Proven ability to be flexible and open to new ideas
  • Demonstrated servant leadership skills
  • Projects a positive reflection of the company and establishes a positive, retention-focused rapport with all new employees, and make positive contributions

Responsibilities

  • Lead, improve, and deliver new hire onboarding experience and training system.
  • Partner with shop floor leadership and support teams to improve hands-on training to reflect the evolution of the work being done.
  • Provide feedback about learner progress and needs for additional training.
  • Track metrics and report out on training system components.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training of lean and support functions tools and concepts.
  • Make improvements to onboarding and training process through application of problem solving tools.
  • Follow, enforce, and coach to all safety and quality procedures according to standards.
  • Be proactive on concerns and take action when needed.
  • Participate in and lead projects with focus on improving training effectiveness and metrics
  • Collaborate with leaders to establish and maintain visual management tools (PvA, collaboration charts, focus boards, and other tools) when needed to drive continuous improvement in the training system.
  • Provide coaching for hands-on-trainer and mentoring to Training Team Lead I.
