About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Training Supervisor. This position will be based onsite at our facility in Arden, NC. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This position is responsible for recommending, planning, implementing and coordinating training for all employees. This includes manufacturing shop floor personnel, front office associates inclusive of engineering. The Trainer will evaluate the effectiveness and growth of new employees and help with the training process. Emphasis will be placed on instilling a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement and fostering that culture beyond the classroom onto the plant floor. This role involves assessing training needs, developing instructional materials, coordinating training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business or other related field.
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Leads the training needs assessment and training program coordination for salaried and hourly employees. Develops and administers training plan for site employees.
  • Maintain training and development records and data base.
  • Conduct ongoing training and development needs assessments and align training objectives with overall company business goals.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Framework to Evaluate training methods and effectiveness of programs. Identify opportunities to improve programs and work with plant leadership to implement solutions.
  • Schedule and coordinate approved training programs.
  • Lead Training Coordinator(s) to develop and implement orientation program for new hires.
  • Consult with Human Resources Representatives and Plant Leadership to gather recommendations for training programs as identified through the performance appraisal process and various plant assessments (MESH, OpA, ISO, ELSS)..
  • Support efforts to maintain a positive employee relations plant atmosphere through knowledge of plant policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs
  • Support community involvement and employee activities.
  • Work in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within the training function.
  • Select and implement tools for delivering the learning and development training curriculum and use of an LMS (Learning Management System) such as Eaton University or other appropriate database.
  • Coordinate, manage, and facilitate train-the trainer and other related activities during implementation of new training programs.
  • Research and recommend best practices.
