About The Position

Nakupuna Prime is looking for a Training Specialist to provide comprehensive training, documentation, and user enablement support for data analytics and reporting platforms. This role is responsible for developing and delivering data literacy training, maintaining end-user documentation, and supporting adoption of dashboards and analytics tools. This effort supports the United States Naval Community College (USNCC).

Requirements

• Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles for technical subject matter.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging data analytics and dashboard training.
• Experience creating clear, user-focused documentation and training materials.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills across diverse audiences.
• Ability to assess training effectiveness and continuously improve training content.
• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical, instructional design, education, or communications-related field.
• 3+ years of experience delivering technical or data-related training to adult learners
• Experience developing training materials, user guides, and instructional documentation
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills
• This position requires access to military installations.
• Must be able to qualify for and obtain base access and pass a background check.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to walk for extended periods throughout the work day including moving between buildings and covering long distances by foot.

• Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or business intelligence tools
• Experience in higher education or public-sector training environments is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver formal data literacy, analytics, and dashboard training sessions for USNCC staff and external partners.
• Develop, maintain, and update training curricula, lesson plans, job aids, and presentation materials to support onboarding and ongoing user education.
• Create and maintain comprehensive user guides, FAQs, and reference documentation with step-by-step instructions and screenshots for analytics tools and dashboards.
• Deliver live and recorded training sessions, workshops, and office hours to support user adoption and effective use of data tools.
• Assess training effectiveness through feedback, participation metrics, and follow-up sessions, and refine training content accordingly.
• Coordinate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Data Engineers to ensure training content accurately reflects system functionality and data definitions.
• Provide post-training follow-up support and one-on-one assistance to users to reinforce learning and resolve questions related to dashboards and reports.
• Support knowledge transfer by ensuring documentation and training materials are version-controlled, current, and accessible to authorized users.
