About The Position

Responsibilities Reporting to the HR Director, the Training Specialist will: Create and communicate standard work instructions. Assist in the communication and management of branding and employee engagement. Manage Job Process and Safety Training content, via digital platform, required for new hire and incumbent employees to perform job duties safely and in accordance with production procedures. Assign, track, and maintain employee trainings in the ADP Learning module. Collaborate with Quality, Safety, and Production to develop effective performance improvement solutions. Evaluate training effectiveness through appropriate course evaluation and post training effectiveness evaluations making modifications to the program(s) design to increase program efficiency. Utilize the Learning Management System and assessemnts to document training activities. And... facilitate and conduct new procedure or refresher training for production employees as is needed or requested. complete needs assessments for employee training needs in order to determine future training content. partner with the Quality Manager and Production Supervisors in addressing remedial training needs relative to quality errors or corrective processes. review and assist to author or edit work instructions as is needed. acts as a Learning Systems Administrator to provide/create content, track, and assign trainings with the ADP learning platform. maintain a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and methodologies. identify opportunities for improvement in current training materials. assist the EHS Manager and HR Generalist to ensure completion of all required trainings for new hires and training renewal mandates. ensure all training documentation is complete and properly stored for compliance and reference purposes. survey and solicit input from production staff regarding training content and effectiveness. Qualifications The successful candidate will have: A minimum of three years in a training role in a production environment. Experience formalizing training with production staff; to include facilitation and content development. Understanding and demonstrated experience in effective training methodology. Working knowledge of at least one training platform, such as ADP Learning or Vector. Comfortable interacting on the production floor. We are a heat treater for automotive; therefore, tolerance of warm temperatures in the summer is necessary. An undergraduate degree in a related field of study or a trainer certification in lieu of a degree is acceptable. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. An analytical approach to problem solving. The target compensation range for this role is $68,000 +.
