About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Histology Training Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, OH . Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30pm- 6:00am Shift: 3rd, this position is eligible for a shift differential Job Responsibilities Assist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training to ensure a positive new hire experience Provide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of performance enhancement and general education Deliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies and Lab Information Systems Develop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectives Evaluate and update existing training materials and plans Serve as a procedural and compliance resource for department employees Support leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metrics Assist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employees Maintain accurate logs and records for all training conducted Provide training with respect and professionalism at all times Assist with workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is needed Perform all duties of a histotechnologist/histotechnician as required, including but not limited to processing, embedding and microtomy and staining, including immunohistochemistry staining of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections Additional administrative tasks as needed At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to travel throughout territory for training purposes
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Histology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Associate’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
  • HT/HTL ASCP certification
  • Immunohistochemistry experience
  • Previous training or leadership experience
