About The Position

We are seeking a Training Specialist Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Richland, WA office. Your role Designs, develops, and delivers training and qualification materials using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). Ensures training materials adhere to all applicable rules, regulations, and licenses. Creates training material in multiple delivery methods (e.g., classroom, Web-based and computer-based). Assists in the identification of evaluation methods and tools for measuring results. Ensures classrooms are appropriate in size and have all necessary equipment (e.g., audiovisual aids and computers). Reviews documentation such as procedures/regulatory changes, lessons learned, corrective actions, operating experience, and training feedback to determine impacts to training program materials. Monitors, evaluates and records training activities. Works with applicable Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the development of training materials to ensure technical accuracy. Ensures training courses are instructionally sound and adhere to quality standards. Maintains knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure competence commensurate with assigned responsibilities. Uses various feedback methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training (e.g., feedback questionnaires, field observations). Performs periodic review of training program material to ensure technical accuracy. There is no supervision of other workers at this level. Requires guidance from Manager or higher-level Training Specialists. Responsible for the quality of his/her own work and satisfying customer (internal and external) specifications. Must be able to work independently and resolve practical problems. Demonstrated ability to teach introductory classes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have 2 years’ experience teaching courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery, and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs.
  • Ability to obtain certifications, site/facility qualifications/credentials and security clearances as required for assigned work.
  • Completion of facility instructor qualification required.
  • Experience consistent with the material being presented.
  • Nuclear experience per DOE Order 426.2 as listed in table 1 or Table 2 depending on hazard category of facility.

  • Working knowledge of SAT process.

  • Working knowledge of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) core functions and guiding principles and understanding of how Environment Safety & Health (ES&H) requirements are integrated into training material and classroom presentations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
