Under the direction of the Production Manager, this position has the responsibility to develop and influence standards for production work instructions, create training curriculum, analyze data inputs to identify quality and production trends, and support the management of operators and production processes. Drive efforts to achieve our workmanship standards, high levels of efficiency and economical costs. Manage the quality assurance team in both inspection processes and long-term improvement strategies Evaluate, update, and revise Quality and Workmanship standards Develop effective work instructions and documentation for production operators Extract and analyze production and quality data to understand trends, identify issues, and create recovery or improvement strategies Create training curriculum and implementation strategies for improved onboarding, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts Implement systems, procedures, develop / monitor KPI’s and methodologies for ensuring maximum through-put and efficient use of resources. Monitor complaint logs, determining trends and work with other leaders to develop process changes to improve quality outputs Respond to questions regarding daily work procedures, provide training and assign work in a manner which maximizes production output Engage related departments and functions to create more effective inspection processes and results Maintains quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. Participate in cross functional teams to manage and provide processing input for cross functional productivity, efficiency and quality standards. Utilize time keeping systems and attendance reporting and Labor Distribution reporting. Maintain a positive department attitude and ensure that all employees under your supervision are aligned with company goals. Directly and indirectly supervise employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervise employees with the objective of maintaining good employee relations, safety, productivity and quality with a constant emphasis on continuous improvement. Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, training plans, cross training, delegating, assigning, directing, coaching, motivating, performance evaluation, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
