About The Position

The Training Coordinator will be responsible for initiatives focused on developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning for employees at all levels. This position will be charged with looking at all areas of the employee life cycle to identify ways in which learning experiences can be enhanced, which will include but not be limited to onboarding, new hire orientation, peer-to-peer training, required training and staff retention.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of related experience with ID/DD population required.
  • Ability to interact and partner with employees at all levels in a team environment required, but if not already certified, must have the ability to become certified and maintain certification.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to remain objective, properly retain and disseminate information amongst different staffing levels and maintain confidentiality when needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion as it relates to confidential matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assesses needs, plan, develop, coordinate, facilitate, monitor and evaluate).
  • This position is a non-sedentary role; requires frequent standing and walking.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to assist Individuals with movement as needed and requested.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines. Some filing is required, requiring the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current certified SCIP Instructor and CPR/First Aid instructor preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management System and e-learning development tools a plus.
  • Three (3) years of related experience with instructional design and adult learning techniques required preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates training curriculum to support learning objectives that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of training, including communications, registration information, attendance confirmation; venue logistics; and training administration such as program material preparation, catering, and vendor partnerships (if applicable).
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and make training recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team for onboarding and orientation training of new staff members and staff retention initiatives.
  • Research and manage training resources and vendor relationships.
  • Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrating results into new and existing course curriculum.
  • Track and synthesize training data, report on metrics, and provide feedback and recommendations on enhancements and future offerings.
  • Manage and monitor learning management system. Keep up to date on modifications to the system and incorporate any changes into current department procedures and structure.
  • Work with internal teams to increase awareness of learning programs and present updates.
  • Facilitate Leadership Development Program.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
