BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE Responsible for assisting with the development, design, implementation and execution of specific training and development initiatives. Assists with developing training curriculum and materials based on needs assessments of skills required to perform jobs in the organization, changing compliance requirements, etc.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Principles of Adult Learning or previous train-the-trainer certification is preferred.
  • Incumbent must have demonstrated excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with employees of varying levels and backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail, good problem solving, organization and analytical skills required.
  • Customer orientation, teamwork skills and the ability to actively commit to, support and participate in continuous improvement activities are necessary for success in this position.
  • Travel as needed to support goals as well as ability to work flexible hours to meet training needs.
  • Familiarity with personal computer and various office computer programs.
  • Walking, standing, observing others performing work assignments.
  • Ability to work in an office / production environment.
  • Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
  • Must be able to determine impact to product quality when training deviations occur, contain the situation and implement preventive actions.
  • Must be able to perform assessment of new projects/platforms and determine the level and complexity of training required for the learner, taking into consideration different learning styles.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all these various business partners.
  • Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college/university in a biomedical discipline (Chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science, or medical technology,) preferred.
  • OR Associate degree from an accredited college/university in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
  • AND Experienced trainer with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with staff training requirements (50%)
  • Assists with developing and updating minimum training requirements.
  • Supports the development and updating of training documents and materials.
  • Monitors progress for semi-annual and annual refresher training for staff as required by training plans or regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with facilitation of new employee orientation process (NEO).
  • Assist with design, development, implementation and delivery of specific training and development initiatives to meet training needs across the facility. (25%)
  • Works with business partners to assist with developing and delivering training programs for various initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Deliver training courses as needed.
  • Manage administrative function of training department (25%)
  • LMS Admin functions to include monitoring training, assigning training and running reports.
  • Assist with SOP monthly implementation training.
  • Effectively filing and periodically auditing training records.
  • Participate in regulatory audits
  • Other duties as assigned
