About The Position

Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKey) serves 37 counties in Pennsylvania, home to over half of Pennsylvania residents. We have offices in York, Allentown, Bensalem, Reading, Wilkes Barre, Harrisburg, and Lancaster. We operate 7 medical centers that serve over 30,000 patients annually and offer comprehensive sexuality education that reaches thousands of young adults. Planned Parenthood Keystone is looking for a Full-time (35 hours/week), non-exempt, Affiliate Floater Training Assistant Manager to travel to all of our centers. The Affiliate Floater Training Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of all non-licensed medical center staff across the affiliate. This position ensures new hires are fully trained and compliant with organizational standards within their first six months or sooner. When not onboarding new employees, this role assists with observation, skill validation, and re-training of existing staff to maintain high-quality patient care and consistent use of affiliate systems. The position contributes to the standardization of systems throughout the affiliate, provides support to Center Managers as needed, and promotes a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited high school program or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to any and all of our medical centers, with reliable means of transportation.
  • Computer literacy, including competency in affiliate email, Microsoft Office suite, internet, and electronic health record/patient management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening and speaking to individuals, small groups, and large groups.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to diverse communities and foster a warm, supportive environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience with progressive responsibility in the reproductive health or general healthcare industry(ies).
  • Active Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an affiliate-wide trainer for all non-licensed center staff, with support from health center management and administrative staff.
  • Train and evaluate staff in family planning services, FDA-approved birth control methods, STD prevention and treatment, HIV testing, abortion services, sexual health counseling, principles of health promotion, and use of electronic health record systems.
  • Participate in orientation, onboarding, and initial training of new employees to ensure all required competencies are completed within six months or sooner.
  • Conduct observation, coaching, and re-training for existing staff as needed to maintain compliance with affiliate standards, protocols, and quality expectations.
  • Communicate medically accurate, comprehensive, age-appropriate information on human sexuality topics, including family planning, contraception, abortion, STIs, sexual orientation, gender identity, and Planned Parenthood services.
  • Provide center leadership to foster positive attitudes, trust, and collaboration among staff in achieving affiliate goals.
  • Ensure completion of required annual training, maintain current CPR certification, and adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, health care licensing, contracts, grant requirements, Planned Parenthood policies and procedures, medical protocols, infection control plans, security standards, and employee handbook.
  • Perform clinical, reception, bookkeeping, lab, and counseling duties as needed.
  • Enter required data, maintain program documentation, and generate reports, including tracking staff training compliance.
  • Support Training Department leadership with additional tasks as assigned.
