About The Position

ICF seeks a Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Lead to support projects within the Justice, Research, Victim Services Portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, criminal justice, victimology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a system or community-based criminal justice/public safety/ community violence prevention/intervention program.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and delivering training and technical assistance (TTA) services to grantees.
  • U.S. citizenship is required per federal contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding and experience in trauma informed practices.
  • Working knowledge of the mission and programs of the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Bureau of Justice Assistance.
  • Experience in coordinating a variety of tasks involving teams from other disciplines to implement tasks and/or deliver a high-quality product.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation, public education, and trauma-sensitive communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of the criminal justice system.
  • Experience in managing grants on behalf of the Office of Justice Program.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments and develop plans for delivery of services based on needs assessment.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to be flexible, detail-oriented, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify training and technical assistance needs of training and technical assistance providers and grantees.
  • Support the development and delivery of webinars, e-learning materials tailored to the specific needs of grantees.
  • Coordinate requests for, and provide ongoing technical assistance to federal grantees, including troubleshooting, guidance, and support on program implementation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and technical assistance provided and gather feedback to improve services.
  • Ensure all training and technical assistance activities comply with federal regulations and incorporate best practices.
  • Supervise the work of staff and/or consultants performing technical assistance and provide guidance to communication and outreach team on relevant topics.
  • Work collaboratively with federal agencies, stakeholders, and other training providers to ensure cohesive and comprehensive support.
  • Maintain detailed records of training and technical assistance activities and prepare reports for federal oversight and accountability.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in training and technical assistance to continuously improve the quality of services provided.
